| Synopsis |
| This film focuses on the final years of the Russian writer Leo Tolstoy and his movement embracing communal property and passive resistance. One of his ardent followers, Chekov, hired a male secretary, Valentine, to assist Tolstoy and also to spy on his wife, who objects to his ideals. Meanwhile, his wife, Sofya, objects to her husband drawing up a will that leaves the rights of his work to the Russian people than to his family. She will use every trick of seduction on her husband's loyal disciple, whom she believes was the person responsible for Tolstoy signing the new will... |
